Sandra Bullock & Bryan Randall Exchanged ‘Vows’ in Intimate Ceremony to Show Kids It Was a ‘Forever Thing’

On August 5, 2023, Bryan Randall’s family said he had passed away. Randall was known to be the longtime partner of actress Sandra Bullock.

The pair kept their relationship private and were rarely seen out in public together. However, when they were, the team was clearly in love and enjoying their time as a couple.

Unfortunately, Bullock’s life was forever changed when Randall passed away from a very private battle with ALS earlier this month. In his family’s statement, they confirmed he had been suffering from the disease for three years but had decided early on not to share it with the public.

The couple, who had been together since early 2015, were said to have split because they lived separately. However, the truth was that Randall was living in one of Bullock’s Malibu properties simply because he enjoyed being near the sea, and Bullock ensured he had everything he needed while he was there.

Did Bullock and Randall Get Married?

Although Bullock and Randall were in a committed relationship and were raising their children together, the couple never married. Bullock said she didn’t feel she needed a piece of paper to tell her how to be a good partner or mother.

While they never had a traditional wedding, the couple did participate in a ceremony where they “exchanged vows” in the Bahamas in December 2017. Family and friends attended the small ceremony, where the couple shared an intimate dance after they committed themselves to one another.

Bullock wore a kaftan, braids, and flip flops, as Randall wore a baseball cap, an open-front white shirt, casual black pants, and flip flops. The pair danced the night away, and an insider shared:

“They really did this for the children, to kind of seal the deal and show them this was a forever thing.”

After the ceremony, Bullock’s children, Laila and Louis, began calling Randall “dad.” The couple celebrated their commitment to one another and Randall’s birthday on December 31, all at once.

When the news of Randall’s death broke, fans rushed to Bullock’s side to mention how sorry they were for her loss and talk about how inspirational it was that she had remained by Randall’s side through everything. One fan said Bullock was an “outstanding” person.

Many other fans took to their social media pages to share the heartache they felt for Bullock at losing the man she loved the most and who had helped her raise her children for the past seven years. Many hoped Bullock was okay.

Bullock Stepped Back from Hollywood For Her Family

Although Bullock had a thriving career in Hollywood last year, while promoting “Lost City,” she said she would be taking a step back from her job. She clarified:

“I’m not retiring, just going to not spend time in front of the camera for a while. I have beautiful babies. I’d rather look at them.”

Bullock added that she took her work very seriously, and it was a 24/7 lifestyle, which she would rather spend on her children. She has yet to return to Hollywood.
